I never really cared much about politics until I saw how it can change lives overnight. Recently, I learned about the shutdown of Right to Care and other HIV organizations in South Africa due to funding cuts. Thousands of workers lost their jobs, and the people they helped were left without support. It really hit me how quickly political decisions can affect real people, including those who rely on healthcare services to survive. Now, I take politics seriously because I understand how it can impact lives, even when you don’t expect it. It seems like you’re always caught in a game of politics, whether you like it or not—some people play it, while others just get played by it.
